A must have Mac app. It is an add-on to Apple’s Mail application that has just one purpose - to pop open a preview of any incoming mail. It does this in a rather pleasant transparent window and it does it well. Multiple preferences allow you to configure this app just how you want it.

To get us started here is my list:
Web Browsers
Camino
Flock
Firefox
Camino because it looks and behave like a Mac. Flock because it has the extensions of Firefox but not the cost in terms of Ram and Firefox because I just do…
Development

FTP - Yummy
Editor - Text Wrangler
Photos - Elements
Colours - iPick
Organisation

Switch on full view, in the Terminal type:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder
To revert back, type:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder

I discovered this a while ago and I haven’t stopped using it. I can’t tell you why but I have had a go with Safari and I do regularly head off to Firefox mostly to validate web pages or check on div order or some such thing. But I always come back to Camino.
